First Day of School...

This big boy started college today!
He even rode the big scary
Frontrunner all by himself :)

He was supposed to start school on Wednesday
but he woke up sick and stayed home
puking all day.

This is the first time I have EVER seen him
without a beard.
He had to shave it for school which
he wasn't too happy about.

We are both adjusting to the clean shaven face.

Labor Day!

Redo took us shooting and we had a blast!
(get it...blast!)

Any day that I get to spend with Trayco
is always a good one.

Between Redo, Trayco, and Trevyn, we had
all sorts of different guns to shoot

"Love is a funny thing, isn't it?
Sometimes it's exciting and passionate.
Sometimes it's something else.
Something...comfortable and familiar."

"Your trust in the Lord must be more powerful and enduring than your confidence in your own personal feelings and experience. To exercise faith is to trust that the Lord knows what He is doing with you and that He can accomplish it for your eternal good even though you cannot understand how He can possibly do it."
-Elder Richard G. Scott

A Lot Can Happen In a Year...

A year ago today I was flying home from Minnesota.
I can't believe it has already been a year and
I also can't believe how much has
happened in the last year.

If you would have told me a year ago that
I would be married and living in a different state
I would have laughed in your face.

I think about my mission every single day and I know
Heavenly Father sent me where I was needed
and where I would have experiences and meet people
that would shape me into a better person.

My mission was by far the hardest 18 months of my life
but I am thankful for it everyday.

 I received a blessing during a
really rough time on my mission
and I remember the blessing saying that
"I was going through trials to learn
specific things that would bless my future family"

I consider Minnesota my personal
Garden of Gethsemane and Sacred Grove
because it was there that I learned that Jesus Christ lives
and that the Atonement has personal meaning for my life.

Wuv, twue wuv

Nothing beats coming home to pretty flowers after
a long day catching up on
all the homework you should have been doing
while you were in Montana
