Grandma Szabo

I have nothing but the fondest memories
 of my Grandma Szabo.
Growing up, sleep overs at Grandma's house were the best.
 Unlimited chicken nuggets from McDonalds,
hours of playing with her Chevron cars,
and boxes and boxes of cereal
 to choose from for breakfast.

My Grandma is a strong but loving woman.
She is spunky and can carry on a conversation with anyone.

My Grandma as a young mother, let the missionaries in
and ever since has been a faithful member of the church.
Because of her generations of our family have had
the privilege of growing up in the church.

Recently my Grandma has gotten really sick
so me and Jamie have been spending a lot of time with her
and it has been such a blessing!

A couple of days before she flew to California to recover
with Uncle Dan and Aunt Mary
we got to take her to the temple open house.
She had attended stake conference
in the tabernacle for years
before it burned down so she was very excited to
see the completed temple.
She was in awe the entire time and was so
grateful for the opportunity to be there.

My grandma has SO many pictures.
When we were moving her out of her house I found these gems...
Grandma and Gregg

Dan, Gregg, Scott, & Lisa

Baby Scott!

Temple #3

We both had major flash backs to
the MTC as we went to the Provo Temple!

It was fun seeing a bunch of missionaries
there and thinking back to our MTC days.

The Provo Utah Temple was the sixth temple built in Utah,
and the first built in Utah County.

The Provo Utah Temple is often dubbed
"one of the busiest temples in the church"

The original design for the Provo Utah Temple
included an angel Moroni atop a gold-colored spire
but the statue was eventually eliminated from the design.

In 2003, as part of an exterior renovation in 2003,
an angel Moroni statue was added atop a white spire.

Provo City Center Open House

Kylie got the entire family tickets to the
Provo City Center Temple open house.

It is such a beautiful temple but it was
so much smaller than I thought it would be.

It was a neat experience to be in
the temple with the entire family
and it will be even better when Drew gets home!

Temple #2

We made a goal to attend every temple in Utah
before we move to Colorado for the summer!

Our plan was to do a session at the
Oquirrh Mountain temple
but we found out the hard way that
it is closed for cleaning.

Thankfully the Jordan River temple
is close and we were able to catch the next session.

It was meant to be because the Jordan River
is closing in February for two years
as it will undergoing extensive renovations.

Fun facts about the Jordan River Temple:

It was the 7th temple built in Utah

It is the highest capacity temple in the church,
with six ordinance rooms each seating 125 patrons

It is one of 5 temples featuring the angel
Moroni statue holding the gold plates

January 20th!

It has been one whole year since we got engaged!

We hiked up the very snowy mountain
to our spot, where Trayco proposed, in
honor of our special day!

The view of the Draper temple, that no
picture can do justice...

Since we were in Hawaii on the year mark of
our first date, we went to
Cafe Rio(where we ate on our first day)
for dinner to celebrate!

This is Trayco at the Dermatologist's office.

This all started 4 years ago when Trayco
got chemicals on the back of his neck
while working with asphalt.

Ever since he has had a big cyst on the back
of his neck so his loving wife made him
go to the doctor (which he dislikes with a passion)

The dermatologist cut right into his neck and cut
it out and Trayco got his very first stitches.
