Our "First" Apartment

Really this is the 4th place that we have lived together but we call this our "first" apartment because it was the first apartment we actually rented. In the summer Edge pays for our apartment so we felt all grown up paying rent and having a place to call home.

We loved our time in our Orem apartment!
Things I never want to forget:

-We lived in the bottom half of a town home but it didn't feel like a basement because out front door was a walk out. But because of this there was no walk way to our front door. There was a grass hill. This was cause for two problems, in the fall and spring we had to time leaving just right because the sprinklers were often in full force and there was no way around them. And the second problem came when the snow came. The hill wasn't big but it was still quite a sight getting up to our front door. Thankfully Trayco always kept it shoveled but still!

-Black widows! Quite ironic that Trayco sells pest control all summer and then had to live with black widows in the off season. Our bedroom window view was a window well and there was a HUGE black widow that lived in the window well. We tried to get rid of her and even asked our landlord but we eventually just accepted her and named her Rosie.

-We can't talk about our Orem apartment without talking about our landlords. They owned the town home and lived on the top half. We have nothing against our landlords, they are very very kind people. BUT when two very large Polynesian people live above you, it doesn't go without noticing! Each foot step sounded like someone was coming through the ceiling.
The smells that came through the vents when they were cooking was awful. We are all about that spam but the smells that came out of that town home were something else. You know it's bad when bad smells start to make you feel at home. And last but not least, the lay out was such that our living room was directly underneath their bedroom and you could hear SNORING coming through the vents. Not like wow someone is sleeping, more like is there an angry black momma bear sleeping above us. At night we would have to turn up the TV a few extra notches to drown out the sleeping bear :)

-Our ward. We served as ward missionaries and Trayco loved loved LOVED the Elders Quorum in our ward.  He also loved the ward for church ball. There would be over ten guys show up every week for church ball.

-We both finished school while living in this apartment. Bitter sweet! Glad to be past that part of our lives but sad for all the growth that comes through school.

-Our neighbor Debbie. Debbie is an older lady who lived in the town home right next to us. Debbie loves Trayco. He shoveled her grass "walk way" almost everyday and she loved him for it. Debbie was a TALKER! She was often outside with her dog and when that happened you were stuck talking to her for a very long time. Trayco was late to many meetings and to school because of Debbie.

All in all we are grateful to have a roof over our heads and a place to call home. We are grateful for the memories we made here. Now it's on to the next apartment!

TWO YEARS!!

Two. Years.

Or in Trayco's words: "Holy cow, we've been married for as along as I was a missionary!"

We celebrated by going to Cafe Rio and going to our temple.

Two years full of ups and downs, accomplishments, trials, and countless laughs.
The very best two years.

The world has changed in the past two years and we have changed. I remember being in the temple on our wedding day and thinking "this is the happiest day of my life, I am so happy." I wish the Molly on our wedding day could see how much happiness was yet to come.

I'm excited to spend another two years with you, and another two after that and forever and ever.
Thank you for always making me feel safe. Thank you for providing for us. Thank you for being patient with me and for always encouraging me to be the best version of myself. You are the best thing that has ever happened to me. Thank you for choosing me.

Easter

I think that some of my favorite traditions are our family's Easter traditions!

It always turns out to be a great day.
Church, dinner, coloring Easter Eggs,
and our epic Easter Egg Hunt in the dark.

Lamb of God

Trayco's good friend from school, invited us to a production he was in. He played John in the Lamb of God. I used to listen to this CD all the time on my mission so it brought back a lot of memories. It was the perfect way to spend the night before Easter. It was a great reminder of the real meaning of Easter. Words cannot express how grateful I am for the Atonement.

Park City Retreat

We had a managers retreat for Edge in Park City. It was a lot of fun and we learned a lot. We are very grateful for Edge. I love that Trayco works for a company that strives to help their employees become their best selfs. It was nice to have a little weekend get away together before me move next week. We all got our hotel room and we also got to eat at Ruth Chris which was AMAZING.
Best. Steak. EVER.

LDSBC GRADUATE!

This guy graduated today! I'm so proud of him! It took a lot of work to go to school while trying to recruit a sales team. Most of the guys Trayco works with stop going to school when they become a manager because of the time commitment but Trayco decided to finish what he started.

Between you and me, I think he is more excited to grow a
beard again than he is to graduate :)

Thank you for doing hard things, Trayco!

Birthday Surprise

I surprised Jamie on her birthday up in Logan and took her out for lunch! I didn't have very much time but we had a fun time. I went to class with Jamie and then we walked around campus.

2017 Ross Tournament

Another year, another tournament!

This year was one for the books.
Trayco played on a 6 foot and under team and on an open team.
They won a few and lost a few.

We slept at Aunt Dawn's and Uncle Cody's house
this year and had a grand ole time.

My favorite part of the tournament is playing with all the little cousins!

Lunch with Grandma

Before we left for Colorado, Grandma was really set on having me over of lunch. It has been really neat to live right around the corner from her. It was fun to meet Grandma's "in crowd" and lunch was pretty good!
