For Eternity!

Kylie is now stuck with us for eternity!
Being in the temple as an entire family was indescribable.
The sealing was simple and beautiful.

Rio 2016

It is no secret that me and Jamie are Olympic Fanatics!
We have been planning an olympic party all summer
and it turned out a total success, if I do say so myself!

My Dad made his famous pizza followed by each country (team)
competing in a Skittle minute to win it game to determine their
rank for the corn hole competition.
A closing ceremony took place with medals given
and root beer floats to end the great night.

The represented countries:
Sweden (Jarod & Ashlie)
Canada (Bryan & Teri Sue)
USA (Molly & Jamie)
Hungry (Sam & Kylie)
Albania (Drew & Abby)
Switzerland (Dad & Mom)
Independent (Grandma Szabo)

USA took the gold in the Corn Hole competition!

USA! USA! USA!

Canada with Silver
USA with Gold
Switzerland with Bronze

#Szabo2016

3.5 years ago (February 20th 2013 to be exact) I left for the MTC and it was the last time we have been together as a family. It became the family joke/slogan that 2016 would be the year of the Szabo's reuniting and the joke turned into the hashtag #Szabo2016. It was common for us to write each other on our missions and end the email or letter with #Szabo2016.

2016 seemed SO far away but 1274 days have passed and Drew is home!!

^February 20th 2013

^Trying to pass the day by making posters and
welcome home banners

^Drew had a layover in Chicago and members saw him and
sent this picture to Dad! We could hardly contain our excitement!

He's HOME!!!

Summer Traditions

One summer, Jamie and I had a great idea that turned into not so great of an idea to ride our bikes to Snoasis to get Snow Cones up in Alpine. The bike ride ended up being mostly up hill and taking HOURS. We were seriously exhausted by the time we got home but it is one of our favorite memories and now every summer it is tradition to get a Snoasis snow cone. Someday we might try the bike ride again but for now we will enjoy the drive to Alpine for the extra syrup and personalized cup :)

Let me root, root, root, for the home team

Trayco's dad scored really good tickets to the Rockie's game and lucky us,
it was on a Saturday night so we were able to go with Trevyn and Ethan.

I'm ruined for all baseball games from now on,
our tickets were directly behind home plate!

^Just for the record, $11 hot dogs taste
exactly the same as 99 cent ones from the grocery store

Before the 9th inning they play "Take Me Out to The Ball Game"
and the announcers throw out cracker jacks to the section behind home plate
and Trayco caught one!
