We left our hearts in Montana

The road trip to Montana was a long one.
We were hauling a trailer with an old truck
that was averaging 7 miles per gallon.

But the drive was well worth it.
Montana is BEAUTIFUL!
We fell in love with the place and
made hypothetical plans to
ditch school and work and stay there forever and
raise little country children.

Trayco's cousin,  Laramy,  AKA "Sasquatch"
bought an outfitting lodge in Hamilton.
Aunt Khetta moved there to cook
and run the business side of the lodge.

Laramy took us to a grill in town called Naps.
We were served hamburgers the size of our face.
Inside the grill was a really cool license
plate wall with plates from every state.

This is Blaze, the biggest six month old I have ever held.

We were 20 minutes outside of where the original
Alleman farm was in Stevenville so we ventured
out to see where my mom grew up

It was a long 14+ hour drive back to Colorado
but we made a quick sight seeing stop in Jackson Hole
and stopped in Rexburg
so Sabra could see BYU Idaho.
The highlight of the drive was listening
to the podcast Serial which made the trip go by fast!

Hot dogs and s'mores up the canyon!
Besides forgetting the
ketchup and mustard we had a great time.

Aunt Khetta got a later start on the move
than we thought so we got to attend Uncle Boyd's party.
Lots of baby holding and water kick ball made for a fun day.

I think twins would suit us well :)

A weekend in Utah

On our way to help Trayco's, Aunt Khetta move to Montana
we made a stop in Utah to attend Braxton and Pau's wedding.

Braxton and Trayco became really good friends
in the YSA ward
while Trayco was living in Draper

The entire sealing was in Spanish
and it was beautiful!
The spirit was so strong even though
I couldn't understand a word of it.

We had some time to kill before the luncheon
so we walked through the city creek mall,
went to check out LDS Business College,
 and toured the Conference Center.

These next pictures were taken on the roof
of the Conference Center.
We had the sweetest senior missionary take us on a tour
and I felt the spirit so many times as she testified
of different painting and
sculptures throughout the building.

Fun Facts about the Conference Center:

- The conference center is the largest theater-style
auditorium ever built.

-All seats in the audience have an unobstructed view of the pulpit

- All of the paintings are originals, as are many of the statues.

-There are more toilets for the women than the men.

-The rooftop gardens, fountains, and meadows fulfill part of a prophetic statement by Brigham Young, who said in 1853 that he envisioned a downtown building with groves and ponds on the top.

-It is the only building besides temples that included the "hosanna shout" as part of it's dedication

Downtown Denver

We spent the day downtown
while our husbands worked the day away.

We started with lunch...
Every Tuesday and Thursday
they have a food truck round up in the city park.

I'm not one to take pictures of food but this was that good.
Pulled pork with sweet potato fries and mint lemonade

The next stop was the Butterfly Pavillion
"A zoo of small wonders and big experiences"

They have a butterfly exhibit where you can
walk through a mini rain forest and
see thousands of different species of butterflies

The room is kept as the same climate as a rain forest
would be so as Trayco would say
"It was hotter than Africa in there"

*Fun Fact: Butterflies taste with their feet
so if a butterfly stays on human skin for too long
it will clog their senses and they won't be able to find food

The exhibit has a tarantula named Rosie.
If you hold her you get a sticker "for bravery"

We peer pressured Taylor into holding Rosie.

If Rosie's handler would have let go of her hand,
I think Taylor would have flung Rosie across the room

The last event of the day was a Colorado Rockies game

Hiking the Red Rocks

Taylor and Kenzie's friend is visiting Colorado
before she goes to Russia to teach English
so we ventured out of the city and hiked the Red Rocks.

Taylor, Baby Charly (her first hike!), Kenzie, me, and Lida

The entire hike looked like someone cut out
a piece of St. George and pasted it in Colorado

A Sunday Drive

Redo bought a fun new toy for work that
we took out for a Sunday drive around Elizabeth.

I LOVE summer and hate to see it come to an end
every year but I love these flowers that pop up
when the weather starts to cool down

They used to line parts of the freeway
on the drive down to Snow
and they are everywhere in Colorado.

We found our dream house!
I was driving the ranger and slowed down as we passed
this house

Trayco looked over at me and said
"You want to live there huh?... It's perfect"

The picture does the house
no justice but it's the cutest little farm house with a big red barn behind it.

Sedalia

Isn't Sedalia a pretty name?
Trayco's family went camping in a small little town called
Sedalia.
They had been camping for most of the week
and we got to join them on Friday afternoon.

We got rained out most of the time
but we sill managed to have fun.

No one in Trayco's family EVER takes pictures so
I always get weird looks when I say
"everyone look over here and smile"

The Blackmail Post

Trayco works Monday-Saturday from 8:30 am to 9:30 pm

He's a tired boy and falls asleep
anytime
and
anywhere
he gets the chance.

Many times he's all of sudden
gone silent in the middle of a sentence
and I look over to see that he's fallen fast asleep.

I'll save the snoring and sleep talking for another black mail post :)
