Downtown Denver

We spent the day downtown
while our husbands worked the day away.

We started with lunch...
Every Tuesday and Thursday
they have a food truck round up in the city park.

I'm not one to take pictures of food but this was that good.
Pulled pork with sweet potato fries and mint lemonade

The next stop was the Butterfly Pavillion
"A zoo of small wonders and big experiences"

They have a butterfly exhibit where you can
walk through a mini rain forest and
see thousands of different species of butterflies

The room is kept as the same climate as a rain forest
would be so as Trayco would say
"It was hotter than Africa in there"

*Fun Fact: Butterflies taste with their feet
so if a butterfly stays on human skin for too long
it will clog their senses and they won't be able to find food

The exhibit has a tarantula named Rosie.
If you hold her you get a sticker "for bravery"

We peer pressured Taylor into holding Rosie.

If Rosie's handler would have let go of her hand,
I think Taylor would have flung Rosie across the room

The last event of the day was a Colorado Rockies game
