On our way to help Trayco's, Aunt Khetta move to Montana
we made a stop in Utah to attend Braxton and Pau's wedding.
Braxton and Trayco became really good friends
in the YSA ward
while Trayco was living in Draper
The entire sealing was in Spanish
and it was beautiful!
The spirit was so strong even though
I couldn't understand a word of it.
We had some time to kill before the luncheon
so we walked through the city creek mall,
went to check out LDS Business College,
and toured the Conference Center.
These next pictures were taken on the roof
of the Conference Center.
We had the sweetest senior missionary take us on a tour
and I felt the spirit so many times as she testified
of different painting and
sculptures throughout the building.
Fun Facts about the Conference Center:
- The conference center is the largest theater-style
auditorium ever built.
-All seats in the audience have an unobstructed view of the pulpit
- All of the paintings are originals, as are many of the statues.
-There are more toilets for the women than the men.
-The rooftop gardens, fountains, and meadows fulfill part of a prophetic statement by Brigham Young, who said in 1853 that he envisioned a downtown building with groves and ponds on the top.
-It is the only building besides temples that included the "hosanna shout" as part of it's dedication
