Hawaii Day 5

Our last day in Maui :(
The last day of vacation is always bitter sweet.

We packed our bags and then headed to Kihei Caffe for breakfast.
It was probably a good thing we found this place on the last day because it was to die for and we would have ate ourselves silly everyday!

They have this coconut syrup which is divine
There are not words to describe how good it was!
We also saw Mitt Romney eating there with his wife which was pretty cool.

We found out the hard way that they only take cash (we waited in line for twenty minutes, ordered our food, and then found out they wouldn't take any cards) so Trayco ran around looking for an ATM machine for ten minutes only to find out that there was an ATM machine inside the Caffe the entire time.

But what I love about Hawaii, (we refer to it as the aloha spirit) is how nice and calm the people are. They still took our order and even brought our food out to us before Trayco got back running around looking for an ATM machine. They are so trusting and easy going in Maui and I LOVE IT!

(insert heart eye emoji here!)

^That little bottle of coconut syrup
Trayco is holding cost $10
WORTH EVERY PENNY!!

We found out the Resort would hold our bags for us since we had a late flight and even gave us a complimentary room to shower in. So we pulled on our swimsuits and our snorkel gear and headed to turtle bay. We snorkeled for hours trying to find a sea turtle and laid out on the beach for a while. Well I laid out on the beach, Trayco isn't a fan of sand haha.

^Trying to figure out the selfie stick

^We had a blast hanging out with Devin and Kairaleigh all week

^Sea Turtle!! Devin spotted this guy so we waited and waited
until he came up to take a breath and then we followed him around for a bit

After hanging out at the beach
all day we headed to
Ululani's for one last shaved ice!

^Trayco bought me a Ululani's magnet.
I'm drooling just looking at this picture!

We showered at the hotel and ate our last supper at the Paia Fish Market.
Trayco isn't a big fan of fish and even he likes the fresh fish at the fish market!

We ran to this beach before the sun went down because we heard there were tons on sea turtles that surface before the sun goes down. It was AWESOME!

^All of those rock looking things in the back are not rocks,
They are sea turtles! There were probably 40 of them all chilling in the sand.

^Red eye back to the mainland :(

Hawaii Day 4

Today was my kind of day! We hopped from beach to beach and snorkeled all day!
I love days filled with adventure!

We drove to Lahiana and rented snorkel gear and went to a rock beach. We walked quite a ways through a jungle looking forest to get there. The snorkeling wasn't the best but we had a good time in the water. We saw a HUGE sea turtle and followed it around for a while.

We drove around the island on a pretty
sketchy road to see a blow hole and heart rock.
We walked down really steep dried lava to get to the blow hole.

^^Sporting the glasses for the rest of the week

The blow hole is on the edge of a cliff. It's a huge hole that sucks water up and blows it all over the place. We were standing really far away from it and still got sprayed.

Trayco had heard that the blow hole is really dangerous because if you get close you'll get sucked back down with the water. It was hilarious because he was freaking out the entire time and wouldn't let me get very close to it.

The heart rock was right on the edge of the cliff and I had to use every bribe I had in me to get Trayco to take a picture with me. Needless to say Trayco got his fair share of adventure today!

^Notice who is closer to the cliff HA!

^Thankfully we didn't see this until after or
I don't think Trayco would have walked down.

We went into town again and ate lunch at Cool Cats,
seriously couldn't get enough of their burgers.

We spent the rest of the day at Nipili beach and went snorkeling and bogie boarded. I need to upload our gopro video because I was trying to film Trayco bogie boarding and a huge wave came it and brought Trayco in hard and he ran right into me and knocked me down into the water It's hilarious!

^BEAUTIFUL SUNSET!!!!!!!

We stopped by Ululani's for round two of shaved ice. Trayco's swim shorts were so full of sand from bogie boarding that by the time he stood up his seat in the rental car was FULL of sand.

Hawaii Day 3

Today was our relaxing day. Trayco went down and played volleyball
in the pool with all of the guys from his company.

We got shaved ice at Ululani's and it was seriously the best thing
I have ever put in my mouth. So creamy and delicious!

We spent most of the day at Mckenna beach which was beautiful! The weather was perfect and I was soaking up every minute of it. I lost my contact in the water so the rest of the day was pretty miserable but what can you do! We got fish tacos for dinner and spent the rest of the night wondering around little souvenir shops.

Hawaii: Day 2

We decided to go Zip lining the first chance that we got since last year we didn't get to go because it got rained out. We went with our friends Devin and Karileigh and had a blast! You start at a strip mail where you sign the wavier and go over the basics and then 12 of us loaded up into a van and they romped us straight up a mountain.

We got to zip line 8 lines and each one got progressively harder. The view was beautiful! The mountains were behind us and the ocean was in front of us.

We bought a go-pro this year so we weren't very good at taking pictures since we were mostly preoccupied with taking videos

Zip lining took most of the morning and we were so hot and sweaty by the end that we decided to go to Lahaina and see the Banyan tree and get lunch.

The Banyan Tree is the biggest tree on the island. It's hard to explain but the tree is so big that the branches started growing into the ground and now have their own roots. It looks like there are hundreds of trees everywhere but they are really branches from the originally tree.

Everyone kept talking about a burger joint called Cool Cats so we decided to check it out. Their burgers have been voted the best on the island for 8 years and they did not disappoint!

The only thing we were highly encouraged to attend was a Luau with everyone from Edge. It was a lot of money so we weren't overly excited about going but it ended up being really fun. They dig up a pig that has been cooking all day and then put on a show that goes through the history of Maui. My favorite part was the fire dancers.

^Our resort. So pretty!
