Hawaii: Day 2

We decided to go Zip lining the first chance that we got since last year we didn't get to go because it got rained out. We went with our friends Devin and Karileigh and had a blast! You start at a strip mail where you sign the wavier and go over the basics and then 12 of us loaded up into a van and they romped us straight up a mountain.

We got to zip line 8 lines and each one got progressively harder. The view was beautiful! The mountains were behind us and the ocean was in front of us.

We bought a go-pro this year so we weren't very good at taking pictures since we were mostly preoccupied with taking videos

Zip lining took most of the morning and we were so hot and sweaty by the end that we decided to go to Lahaina and see the Banyan tree and get lunch.

The Banyan Tree is the biggest tree on the island. It's hard to explain but the tree is so big that the branches started growing into the ground and now have their own roots. It looks like there are hundreds of trees everywhere but they are really branches from the originally tree.

Everyone kept talking about a burger joint called Cool Cats so we decided to check it out. Their burgers have been voted the best on the island for 8 years and they did not disappoint!

The only thing we were highly encouraged to attend was a Luau with everyone from Edge. It was a lot of money so we weren't overly excited about going but it ended up being really fun. They dig up a pig that has been cooking all day and then put on a show that goes through the history of Maui. My favorite part was the fire dancers.

^Our resort. So pretty!

Hawaii: Day 1

The first day was all traveling. We got to the airport early Sunday morning and our flight kept getting delayed. We had a layover that was supposed to be two hours long but we ended up barely catching the next plane on time. The flight to Hawaii was long but thankfully we were a little smarter this time around and we packed snacks and bought neck pillows.

When we landed we went to get our rental car and decided last minute to upgrade to a Jeep! We stopped by Costco and Wal Mart and bought snorkel gear and food and then headed to the Resort.

We were so tired by the time we got to the resort that we ended up going straight to bed!

^Finally leaving Salt Lake

^Landing in San Francisco

^HAWAII!

^Snapchat filters killing time waiting for the shuttle to take us to get our car rental

^Finally made it to the resort. So tired!

Once a badger, always a badger

Trayco, Jamie, and I spent the day in Ephraim and we had a grand ole time!

I LOVE Snow College and I have nothing but fond memories of Ephraim.

We watched a football game and then visited our old apartment building.
We were all so hungry that I forgot to snap a picture but we ate lunch
at Roy's pizza and it was even better then I remember it!

Edge Turkey Bowl

Edge puts on a turkey bowl every year
and this year it was bigger and better then ever before!

They played on the BYU practice field under the lights
and it was even catered.

Jamie came and sat through 4 games with me.
Trayco's team lost their first game and then went on
to win 3 more games to win the loser's bracket!

Halloween 2016

Trayco never celebrated Halloween very much growing up
it was about time we showed him what Halloween is all about!

Dad had to dress up for work and even voted in his costume.

Every year my dad makes doughnuts on Halloween and they are
so warm and delicious and ADDICTING!

Trayco and I have been trying to go a month without eat sweets but that
went right out the door as soon as these
sweet sugary drugs started smelling up the house.

Happy Campers

Last Christmas, Trayco gave me a tent and we were FINALLY able to use it!!!

Summers are all work and no play so we are trying to
make the best of this warm weather before it's gone.

The annual Alleman Family Dinner was on Saturday in
Thatcher so we decided to make a weekend of it and go camping up Logan Canyon.

We found a nice little spot next to a river and enjoyed
hot dogs for dinner and I even got Trayco to play card games with me :)

When the sun went down it was COLD so we layered
6 plus sleeping bags and blankets over us and watched
the new Captain America on our laptop.

My favorite part of the weekend was showing Trayco around Thatcher.
I love that big red shop!
