The last day of vacation is always bitter sweet. So sad to leave but happy to get home and sleep in your own bed and shower in your own bathroom.
We woke up early and packed
and then headed out to make the most of our last day in the city.
We went to the Top of the Rock
and it was by far one of the coolest things I have ever seen!
We took the subway across town and went to the 9/11 memorial and museum.
Such a humbling experience. People were reverent and quiet and the feelings I felt were truly indescribable.
We walked around the memorial and looked at each of the names. I had so many flash backs to 5th grade watching the news in Mrs. Earl's classroom.
^There are two huge fountains where the bases of the towers used to be with the names of each of the deceased around the border
^The new rebuilt World Trade Center
The museum is both educational and humbling.
There was so much to read and see.

We walked over the Battery Park and got tickets for the Statue of Liberty. I LOVED the Statue of Liberty. I have always wanted to come here in person and it did not disappoint! We didn't have enough time to get off the ferry at the statue or at Ellis Island but it was amazing seeing how big the statue is and learning a little bit about Ellis Island.

We ate lunch at the Shake Shack and then headed to the airport.
We had such an amazing time and I'm so grateful for Trayco's hard work and for all the experiences we get to have together.
